Who we are

Harvest Counseling, Coaching, and Retreat Center serves people, churches, and leaders with relational care, encouragement, and practical tools for growth and flourishing.

Mission

At Harvest Counseling, Coaching, and Retreat Center, our mission is to glorify and enjoy God by providing transformative counseling, empowering coaching, and restorative retreats. We are dedicated to supporting the people, churches, and leaders in the Pacific Northwest with relational care, encouragement, and practical tools for growth and flourishing.

Vision

Our vision is to see individuals, families, churches, and communities in the Pacific Northwest grow through the transformative power of God-centered care. We believe that when individuals flourish—mentally, emotionally, and physically—communities grow stronger, more resilient, and more connected. We aspire to do this through competence, character, and community. In a flourishing environment, we guide others to reflect God’s love, wisdom, and purpose—producing fruit that transforms lives and communities.

Harvest Statement of Belief

1. Holy Scripture

We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired and authoritative Word of God, true and trustworthy, given for our salvation and for teaching, correction, and training in righteousness. We receive them with reverence in the communion of the historic Christian faith.

2. The Triune God

We believe in one God, eternally Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We confess Jesus Christ as true God and true man — His incarnation, virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension, and promised return. Salvation is by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit gives life, dwells in the faithful, and empowers godly living.

3. The Human Person

We believe every person is created in the image of God, and that through sin that image is wounded and we stand in need of God’s mercy. New life comes from God by the Holy Spirit. We also affirm that wise, ethical, science-informed care for the mind and emotions, offered in a manner consistent with the Christian faith, can serve God’s work of healing and restoration.

4. The Church

We believe in the one holy Church of Jesus Christ and in the communion of all who confess Him as Lord. Harvest asks its providers, employees, and board members to be (or within one year become) active members in good standing of a local Yakima Valley congregation that confesses the Apostles’ Creed — and, if they change churches, to notify the board and join another such congregation within twelve months — so that we remain under faithful local pastoral care as well as under God.

5. Marriage and Human Sexuality

We believe marriage is a holy covenant instituted by God as the lifelong union of one man and one woman, and that sexual intimacy belongs within that covenant. We also confess that all people bear God’s image and are to be treated with dignity, compassion, and care. In our life and practice we uphold this teaching while seeking the redemption and wholeness God desires for every person.
